Mac is officially 6 months old today....and what a six months its been :) We are so proud of him.
Mac's EEG to check for seizure activity came back with some abnormalities (but no actual seizures during the hour that it ran)...apparently the abnormalities aren't unexpected given his unusual brain anatomy. I will ask the neurologist about it when we follow up at some point, but there's no need to move our appointment sooner.
We headed to Spokane today to follow up with Dr. Gruber after getting his shunt reprogrammed. His PA told me, and this is a direct quote "Best scan EVER!". To say we are excited is an understatement :) We will go back in a month (withOUT a scan, thank you very much!) unless something comes up in the meantime. We are still more than likely not done with surgeries, but maybe October will be Mac's first hospital free month...???? Dare I hope? :)
While we were in town, we stopped by the NICU at Deaconess to visit :) It was a great way to celebrate his first half a year. Thank you so much to everyone who donated items to make the "Macpacks" possible...I was able to make 13 of them. All of them had so many fun things, and gift cards for fast food :)...and 10 of them had $25 gas cards. Jeff and I put them together last night, and put a little note on each one.
Thank you again for continuing to check in :) We really appreciate it.
HURRAY! :)
So, so happy to hear he's doing well! Thank you, Lord!
